Ancestral spirits are invoked in this journey through the prehistoric and wild landscapes of Araucanía Andina, in Chile’s IX Region, which seeks to raise awareness about the protection of sacred spaces—native forests, rivers, volcanoes, and glaciers—threatened by climate change and human action. A prayer from the depths of the earth to restore the lost balance between human beings and nature.
The immersive work is structured as a sensory and spiritual experience that brings together art, technology, nature, science, and ancestral identity. Inspired by the Mapuche worldview and the deep memory of the earth, it offers an urgent reflection on the relationship between human beings and nature in times of climate crisis.
A homenaje a los orígenes de la madre tierra, presentando un espectáculo de nuevos medios audiovisuales, compuesto por una video instalación con proyecciones a gran escala con sonido 360 Dolby Atmos y un live performance musical, donde se exhiben cuatro piezas audiovisuales:

The work is narrated entirely in Mapudungun, the ancestral language of the Mapuche people, and subtitled in two versions: Mapudungun–Spanish and Mapudungun–English, reinforcing its cultural, spiritual, and territorial dimension.
It was filmed in Conguillío National Park, China Muerta National Reserve, and Villarrica National Park between 2021 and 2025, during different seasons of the year.

Video installation that proposes an immersive spatiality, which is supported by two monumental projections – wide angle, plus a Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 spatial sound (4 overhead speakers and the rest in a sound circle) which allows for an immersive 360º and three-dimensional listening experience.
The audience is arranged within a sound circle to participate in a ritual experience.

In a quest to raise awareness about the protection of Mother Earth, the environmental balance and its ecosystems, valuing the wisdom of native peoples as guardians of nature, and the preservation of native forests, rivers and water, the work was built from two events of transcendental impact.
En 2015 un incendio forestal arrasó con más de 6.500 hectáreas de bosque nativo en el territorio nombrado “Reserva Nacional China Muerta”, ubicado en Wallmapu, Araucanía andina. Cerros cubiertos de coigües, lenga, ciprés y la mayor reserva de araucaria milenaria (árbol sagrado) fueron devorados por el fuego. Sesenta años antes, un hecho fatídico hacia una mujer mapuche, otorgó el despectivo nombre “China muerta” a esa zona, que actualmente colinda con el Parque Nacional Conguillio.
Another fact that motivates the making of episode 2 is the importance of the Truful Truful river basin, a sacred river and ceremonial space for the Mapuche people, a place where Machis from all the territories of Wallmapu come, where they gather lawen (medicinal herbs) that only grow in that river and where many people go in search of healing. This ecosystem is currently threatened by the imminent installation of the "El Rincón" hydroelectric plant, which has the entire community on alert, generating different actions to stop it.
The experience is guided by the spirit of a machi, embodied by Lorenza Aillapan, who leads a rupachi/prayer of reconciliation with the land, reclaiming Mother Earth as the first Indigenous woman. It offers an approach to ancestral practices that lie outside the Western worldview and conception of the human role in nature.
Episodio III, Glaciares: Guardianes del equilibrio de la Tierra (2024), se centra en los glaciares —las mayores reservas de agua dulce de nuestro planeta—, que hasta la fecha permanecen sin protección por ningún tratado internacional. El episodio busca generar conciencia sobre la urgente necesidad de resguardar el equilibrio de la Tierra, reconociendo a los glaciares como sus principales guardianes. Explora su relación simbiótica con los volcanes, retratando los glaciares del Villarrica, el volcán más activo de Sudamérica.
Episodio IV, El espíritu del volcán (estreno 2026), explora los paisajes sagrados del complejo formado por los volcanes Villarrica, Quetrupillán y Lanín, un territorio profundamente moldeado por la dinámica geológica de la Falla Liquiñe-Ofqui. Evoca la memoria geológica y espiritual de la tierra, entrelazando la cosmovisión mapuche con el conocimiento científico, revelando el origen ancestral de esta cordillera y la fuerza viva que habita en las profundidades del planeta.
La narrativa interdisciplinaria reúne diversas herramientas, perspectivas y reflexiones sobre problemáticas globales urgentes: la crisis climática, el femicidio, el ecocidio y las cosmovisiones indígenas. La fusión del cine, el diseño sonoro inmersivo en 360°, la performance en vivo, la animación 3D y la realidad aumentada se convierte en un medio para interpretar y transmitir la profunda sensibilidad aún presente en territorios que continúan resistiendo los legados coloniales y patriarcales.
Episode 1 premiered on March 12, 2022 at the Santiago Media Arts Biennial at the National Museum of Fine Arts, with a series of presentations at the WOMAD International Festival and the International Image Festival in Colombia and the Artede Caldas Museum.
Episode 2 premiered on November 30, 2023 with a successful run of 11 performances at GAM, Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center in Santiago, Chile.
Episode 3 premiered on November 29, 2024, at Centro Nave in Santiago, Chile. The work is currently on display at ArtLAC at the IDB in Washington, D.C., USA, from March to July 2025.
